The 4,000-member strong Taconic Independent Practice Association (TIPA) optimizes the quality and value of medical services to the greater Hudson Valley through its patient-centered quality improvement initiatives.

 

We invite you to explore our unique point of view. We are an engaged community, and can boast more than a decade of collaboration across the Hudson Valley region to improve the delivery of quality health care services. Information about our Community Transformation initiative, Quality Improvement activities and Research is informing the work of policymakers and like-minded leaders in communities across the country. Through the Hudson Valley Initiative and together with THINC and MedAllies, TIPA is committed to realizing revolutionary health care transformation.


Quality health care should be patient-centered, coordinated, accessible, low-cost and high quality. Over the past decade, TIPA has made tremendous advances in an intentional effort to achieve this aim. Our foundation in health information technology is strong, allowing us to drive meaningful improvements in patient care. Taconic IPA’s quality agenda emphasizes independent evaluation to assess the validity of our ideas for improvement and transformation.  Robust collaboration with Weill Cornell Medical College has produced a wealth of peer-reviewed evidence to quantify the clinical and economic value of our initiatives.
