The Taconic IPA is a more than 4,000-member physician group at the forefront of transforming health care delivery through meaningful use of technology and practice transformation initiatives to increase the quality and cost effectiveness of patient care. Taconic IPA’s mission is to optimize the value of medical services through patient-centered care while maximizing physician satisfaction. The current providers of TIPA represents more than 80 percent of all providers in the region. Our providers are roughly one-third primary care and two-thirds specialists. TIPA includes approximately 1,100 practices with an average practice size of fewer than five. Just over half of all providers in the network are solo practitioners.
