Taconic Independent Practice Association

 

The 4,000-member strong Taconic Independent Practice Association optimizes the quality and value of medical services to the seven counties that comprise the greater Hudson Valley through its patient-centered quality improvement initiatives.

 

TIPA operationalizes the means for physicians to achieve maximum job satisfaction by providing the research and resources they need to better serve patients. We engage physicians in quality improvement efforts, facilitate dissemination of evidence-based practice, and support evaluation and research so others can learn from and expand our success. Quality health care should be patient-centered, coordinated, accessible, low-cost and high quality. Over the past decade, TIPA has made tremendous advances in an intentional effort to achieve this aim. Our foundation in health information technology is strong, allowing us to drive meaningful improvements in patient care. Taconic IPA’s quality agenda emphasizes independent evaluation to assess the validity of our ideas for improvement and transformation.  Robust collaboration with Weill Cornell Medical College has produced a wealth of peer-reviewed evidence to quantify the clinical and economic value of our initiatives.
