The matrices that you see in the following PDF document are variations of the same measurements of performance that you have received over the last few years. These were chosen to be used for ìpay for performanceî for two main reasons; they reflected your areas of expertise and were areas that could gain from the most improvement. They are divided into three main categories:

  1. Clinical
  2. Patient Centered
  3. Efficiency

Basically, 1 point is earned for performance greater than HMO mean and two points are earned for performance greater than HMO goal (see columns D and E ). The weighting of each performance parameter is based on the point values in column F. The preponderance of point values are in clinical and patient centered measurements. Your exact dollar amount is based on the number of MVP patients that you treat. The summary sheet shows the calculations and spread of payments across the IPA. For those not familiar with Excel, the tabs marked FP, PED and IM correspond to Family Practice, Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. Click on the appropriate tab to see the matrices for your particular group.
